About AusPharm
auspharm.net.au was launched on August 1 2004. It aims to provide pharmacists with all of the latest news and information relating to pharmacy practice in Australia, including links to published media coverage of pharmacy news and feature articles from industry leaders. It consists of a suite of web-sites incorporating auspharm.net.au, auspharmlist.net.au and auspharmacist.net.au. AusPharmList, the internet discussion group for Australian pharmacy has been in operation since January 1996. auspharmacist.net.au, aka Pharmacist Relevant Sites, launched in April 1997. It aims to be the portal for pharmacists practicing in Australia, providing links to useful information. auspharm.net.au and its related sites are operated by auspharm.net.au P/L, a company owned by Tasmanian pharmacists Mark Dunn and Tony Wiss. Advice about site content and operation is provided by an editorial group consisting of approximately 10 pharmacists with a range of professional and life experiences.

It is moderated principally in order to exclude posts that are defamatory or libelous. Posts that have little or no relevance to pharmacy practice, are trivial, of marginal interest or are frivolous or abusive in their nature may also be excluded. Subscribers attempting to use AusPharmList to promote their own agendas or personal or commercial interests may also have their posts refused. The views expressed in Auspharmlist.net.au posts are those of the person who composes the post. They are not the views of Mark Dunn, others who moderate AusPharmList from time to time, or AusPharmList sponsors. As a condition of having the post broadcast to AusPharmList members, the author specifically indemnifies the moderators and sponsors from any actions that might result from libelous or defamatory posts. Contributors should be particularly careful and have information checked when making specific reference to an individual or company. Posts from pharmacists seeking employment will only be allowed according to the conditions described on the advertising information page. Attachments will be limited to approximately 200kb in size. Posts that have attachments will be flagged with a logo at the website. Conference/event announcements will be allowed (once). Inevitably, list members will propose posts that challenge these guidelines and require adjudication from the moderator. In these situations the moderators may seek guidance from the AusPharmList editorial group but retain the right to include or exclude posts (or suggest modification to posts) at their absolute discretion.
